Praise the Lord!

Praise the Lord everybody! Praise the Lord! What a good time we had today! The Praise Team, All Male Choir and Senior Choir truly fed our spirits for the week. We received a powerful message today from Pastor Bridges that “God Still Lives!” (Psalm 115).  He reminded us this morning to not forget about God and to remember where our gifts and our blessings come from. Don’t let Satan feed on you! Give God the glory for the little things as well as the big things and He will bless you with more! Nathaniel Sarratt or one of the Audio/Video team members to get your copy today.  If you don’t have a church home, we welcome you to join us this Sunday at 10am to see for yourself what God can do!

Some of the announcements from this morning if you missed them:

  • The Mass Choir Anniversary will be this afternoon at 3:00pm. Please come back for glorious good time in the Lord!
  • Bible Studies have resumed on Wednesdays at 11:30am and 7pm. Come out and join us!
  • Revivals for 2nd week in September are:
    • New Mt.Zion — Mass Choir
    • Dunton Chapel — Mass Choir
    • True Holiness — Male Choir
    • Mt. Olive — Male Choir
    • Indian Hill — Sr. Choir
  • Dunton United Methodist Church invites everyone out for their revival this week, Sept 15-18 at 7pm nightly. Rev. Henry Kerns of Golden Hill Baptist Church in Rutherfordton, NC will be the revivalist.
  • All are invited out to Ebenezer Baptist Church will host their first annual Women’s Conference on Saturday, Sept 20th at 1pm. Our very own Minister Loretta Holmes will deliver the Spoken Word.
  • The Mikes Creek Missionary Baptist Church YWAs are having a Tea Party on Sept 20 @ 4 p.m. Miss Shanice Dawkins is the guest speaker and the theme is “Christian Women Recognizing their Boaz.” A parade of Salad will be the special event. All are invited to come out and celebrate in the name of the Lord.
  • September 21st is Usher’s Day. At 3:00 pm, Dr. A. L. Brackett, Pastor of St Paul Baptist Church of Union and Mt Zion Baptist Church of Gaffney, along with his congregations will be our special guests.
  • The Shining Stars will practice the 4th Saturday, September 27th at 12 Noon.
  • Concord will be hosting this year’s TMBA Baptist Week, Sept 27 – 30. All members are encouraged to pray for and support the week of activities.
  • The TMBA Annual Banquet will be hosted by Concord Baptist Church this year on Saturday, September 27th at 3:00pm. Tickets are $10. All are asked to come out and support this great event. Please see Sis. Tela Felder for tickets or more info.
  • The 3rd Annual Upstate Stand Down will be held on October 9th from 9am – 4pm at the Spartanburg Expo Center. It is a one day event to provide free services to at-risk or homeless veterans, any veteran in need and their family members.
    We are asking you to help us spread the word about the event to Veterans. We are in need of sponsors, volunteers, toiletry items and transportation assistance to help get veterans to the event. Agencies and Employers are also welcomed. For more information please go to www.upstatestanddown.org.
