We’re not going to let anyone turn us around!

For the rest of our lives, Concord will serve the Lord!! We will shout it out and glorify God because He is awesome, He is magnificent, He is all powerful, He is able, because HE IS WHO HE IS! Pastor Bridges said it all when he said “I Can’t Keep It To Myself” (Matthew 27:51). Stop telling what you shouldn’t tell and start telling folks about the goodness of the Lord! Oh what a good time we had this morning! We praise God and thank Him for our Junior and Senior Ushers, not only for what they did today, but for their service all year long. It’s not too late to get a CD or DVD of either of the services, please contact Bro. Nathaniel Sarratt or one of the Audio/Video team members to get your copy today.  If you don’t have a church home, we welcome you to join us this Sunday at 10am to see for yourself what God can do!

Some of the announcements from this morning if you missed them:

  • The Usher’s Anniversary will be this afternoon at 3:00pm. Please come back for glorious good time in the Lord! Dr. A. L. Brackett, Pastor of St Paul Baptist Church of Union and Mt Zion Baptist Church of Gaffney, along with his congregations will be our special guests.
  • The Senior Missionary will meet at Sis. Eula Mae Thomas’ on Tuesday, Sept 24th at 3pm.
  • Missionary #2 will meet at Concord Acres, Tuesday, Sept 24th at 6:30pm.
  • We will not have morning or evening Bible Study this Wednesday.
  • Revivals for this week:
    • New Mt.Zion — Mass Choir
    • True Holiness — All Male Choir
    • Mt. Olive — Sr. Choir
  • Concord will be hosting this year’s TMBA Baptist Week, Sept 27 – 30. All members are encouraged to pray for and support the week of activities.
    • The TMBA Junior Missionary / Youth will meet Saturday, Sept 27th at 11am at Bethel Baptist Church.
    • The TMBA Annual Banquet will be hosted by Concord Baptist Church this year on Saturday, September 27th at 3:00pm. Tickets are $10. All are asked to come out and support this great event. Please see Sis. Tela Felder for tickets or more info.
    • The Opening Session will start Sunday, Sept 28th at 3pm.
    • The Usher’s Auxiliary is Monday evening at 5:30 followed by the Brotherhood at 7pm
    • Women’s Missionary Auxiliary begins Tuesday at 3:30.
  • Brooklyn CME Church Fall 2014 Homecoming & Revival. Guest ministers for the week are:
    • For the Homecoming Service, Sun, Sept 28th at 3pm – Rev. Eleanor Miller. For the Revival, at 7pm each night:
    • Mon – Rev. Johnny Jackson
    • Tues – Rev. Clifton Harris
    • Wed – Rev. Timothy Hunter
  • On October 5th the nursery ministry will reopen during morning worship service for children ages 4 and under. Parents that plan on using the service are asked to contact Sis. Angela McGill or Sis. Mary Ellis for more information. They are seeking volunteers to help with this ministry. All volunteers will be screened.
  • All are invited out to hear bestseller Marcel Anderson tell his story through music and words at his book and CD signing on Saturday, Oct 4th at 5:30pm at Bethel Baptist Church. Rev. Anitonette Gardner is the host for the event and there will be a variety of performances by Kaprice D. Brown & Triumphant Praise, Unity Praise Team, Ursula Anderson, and Darryl Wilson.
  • The Hopewell Presbyterian Church extends an open invitation for you to join us as we celebrate Pastor Anitonette Gardner during her 5th appreciation celebration. It will be held on Sunday, Oct 12 at 3pm with Rev. Les Howard and the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church as our special guests.
