Shake Well…

This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it! This morning’s message was a powerful and reassuring word from God as Pastor Bridges let us know that “It’s Working Together For Your Good” (Romans 8:24-28) So many dark times and evil surround us, but if we have strong faith and be obedient to the Word of God we can rest in assurance that everything will be okay. Sometimes we have to shake up our faith a little in order to propel us to that next level. If you don’t have a church home, we welcome you to join us this Sunday at 10am to see for yourself what God can do!

The announcements for today if you missed them:

  • No Summer Camp, Know2 Reading Program or Bible Study this week for holiday break.
  • Missionary #2 will meet at Concord Acres – Thursday, May 28th At 6:30pm
  • Today~ the church family is invited to Montgomery Baptist Church, Pacolet, SC for their church anniversary. Pastor Bridges will deliver the spoken word and the Senior Gospel Choir will deliver songs of praise. Refreshments will be served immediately following the service.
  • June 29-July 2~ Pastor Bridges will be the revivalist at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Gaffney, SC. The all-male choir will render songs of praise on Thursday. Everyone is encouraged to attend nightly.
  • If you have time this week, please come out and support our Concord youth playing in the GBO summer basketball league at Gaffney Middle School. Concord teams play Mon at 5:30 and 6:30, Tues at 6:30, Wed at 5:30 and 6:00, and Thur at 7pm.
  • July 12~ the church family is invited to Mt. Seal Baptist Church in Lake City, SC to help celebrate the pastoral anniversary of Rev. Weston Burgess. Service will begin at 11:00. We will form a combined choir and dinner will be served.
  • July 13-17~ the SC Baptist Sunday School Congress will be held in Mauldin, SC.
  • Concord is holding it’s annual Vacation Bible School July 13-16 from 6pm-8pm nightly. Everyone is encouraged to come out and bring a friend!
  • July 17-18~ Dr. Kenneth Mitchem and the St. Mark AME Church family of Orange, NJ will be our special guest for Unity Day.
