Running for Eternal Life!

As you go about your daily activities from work to recreation, don’t forget you are “Running for Eternal Life” (Galations 5:7-12). Pastor Bridges encouraged us to keep on going and doing the will of the Lord in all that we do. People may challenge and try to stop us along our way. If we remain faithful, eventually they will get on board or we might have to run on through them. The best part about it is we already know we have the victory when we are running on Jesus’ team! If you don’t have a church home, we welcome you to join us this Sunday at 10am to see for yourself what God can do!

• No Bible Study for the month of August. All are encouraged to attend local revivals this month and study on your own.
• All college students (or parents of college students who are already gone) are asked to see Sis. Kesha Logan.
• The YWAs will meet this Saturday at 11am. New members are welcome!
• The Shining Stars will rehearse this Saturday at 11:30am.

• Shady Grove Baptist Church invites everyone to revival services this week – Mon – Wed at 7pm nightly. Monday – Rev. Dr. M.L. Clark of Washington Missionary Baptist Church, Shelby, NC. Tuesday – Rev. Michael Golden of Limestone Missionary Baptist Church, Gaffney. Wednesday – Rev. C. A. Wallace of Mt Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, Gaffney.
• Mikes Creek Missionary Baptist Church invites everyone to Homecoming and Fall Revival services. This afternoon at 3pm Rev. O.T. Hill, Pastor of the Beaver Dam Baptist Church in Enoree, SC. Mon – Thursday will be Rev. Jim Powells, pastor of the Flat Ruff Baptist Church in Gray Court, SC.
• All are invited to First Baptist Church of Lawndale’s Revival Services. Rev. Billy D. Houze Monday, Aug 22nd – Thursday August 25th at 7pm nightly.  The Guest revivalist is Bishop Kevin Long of Temple Church International, Charlotte, NC.
• There will be a FREE Basketball Fundamentals Skills Camp on Saturday, Sept 3rd from 10am – 2pm here at Concord in the Family Life Center for Boys and Girls ages 5 and up. Anyone that is interested is asked to please sign up on the list in the lobby. See Bro. James Bridges for questions.
• The TMBA Junior Missionary Bible Week Program will be Saturday, September 24th at 11am at Bethel Baptist Church. Choir rehearsals for the Youth Program will be on Saturday, Sept 3rd  and 10th at 11am at the TMBA Building and on the 17th at 10am at Bethel.
• 3rd Annual Healthy Mind, Body, and Spirit Fair – Saturday, September 10 from 9am-1pm. Limestone Presbyterian Church of Gaffney, SC. Free Health Screenings from 9-11 (Ages 18+ and must be fasting for 8 hours prior to screening). There will be educational presentations, healthy refreshments, and door prizes.
