The Freaks Come Out At Night

Freak, a very unusual and unexpected event or situation… even Christians have moments of darkness, despair, and sin. Times when we jump out of character. It’s humanity. But don’t dwell there! Dr. Bridges assured us that though these times come, don’t let it get us off track or make you throw in the towel and quit. Keep praising, keep glorifying and keep on serving the Lord. The announcements for this week:

• The senior missionary will meet at the church Tuesday at 3pm. Sis. Bernice McGill, president.
• Clinton Chapel AME Zion Church in York, SC is having revival July 22-24 at 7pm Nightly. Rev. Rick Woods is the pastor. Dr. Bridges will be the revivalist.
• We will have morning bible study this week, no evening Bible Study. All are encouraged to go to the revival at Clinton Chapel Wednesday evening. The vans will leave the church at 6:30 pm.
• The Hospitality Committee is sponsoring a blood drive this Saturday, July 27th from 10am – 4pm. This will benefit our very own, Trustee Junior Littlejohn. All are encouraged to come out and support this effort. there will be Walmart gift cards and free food for all who donate. Contact Sis. Annette Smith for questions or an appointment time. Pre-registration allows the Blood Connection to bring adequate resources to accommodate all the donors, but walk-ups are welcome.
• Ramseur Baptist Church, Cherryville, NC will hold their Homecoming service on Sunday, July 28th at 3pm. Rev. McElhaney is the pastor. Dr. Bridges will be the guest messenger for this special occasion.
• Concord’s Annual Women’s Day service will be held during morning worship on Sunday, July 28th. The women will be in charge of morning worship. Evangelist Sylvia Coleman of First Baptist Church of Hillside, NJ will be the guest speaker.
• Tuesday, July 30th at 7pm– Dr. Bridges will preach revival service at Maple Springs Baptist Church in Shelby, NC.
• Concord’s Homecoming Service will be Sunday, August 11th at 10am. Revival services will be Aug 12-14th at 7pm nightly. Rev. Daryl Napper from Winston Salem, NC will be our revivalist.
• Saturday, August 17th – the Junior Missionary will hold their annual Back-to-School program at Limestone Court. Any donations are welcome.
