Hold On!

The devil was mad this morning because praises went up and mountains were moved! What an awesome service this morning! Glory be to God! In the sermon, “Struggling to Survive: Hold On”! (Genesis 32:21-32), Pastor Bridges encouraged us to hold on to God. When Satan sends trouble your way and tries to cause you to doubt and lose faith, don’t give up. Like Jacob, grab on even tighter to God by staying in His Word and clinging to His promises. Tell Him that you won’t let go! It’s not too late to get a CD or DVD of either of the services, please contact Bro.   • The Shining Stars Anniversary will be this afternoon at 3:00 pm.
  • A gentle reminder to all who signed up for the fishing trip. Full payment is due by next Sunday. Please see Deacon Blanton.
  • The 3rd Annual Gospel Fest, hosted by The Men of Revelation, is this afternoon at 5:00pm at Gaffney High School Auditorium. It features The Mighty Clouds of Joy, Legacy, Reverence, Mary Boone & the Singing Angels, and the Southland Troubadoures. Admission is $20 at the door.
  • The Senior Gospel Choir will rehearse this Thursday at 5:30 pm.
  • The TMBA Revival Week will be held at Concord March 7th – 12th.
    • The Prayer Breakfast will be held in the Family life center on Saturday, March 7th at 10am
    • TMBA Youth Explosion is Sunday, March 8th at 5pm
    • The TMBA Countywide Revival is March 9 – 12that 7:00 PM Nightly. Dr. Q.E. Hammonds, pastor of the Antioch Baptist Church, Birmingham, AL is the evangelist for the week.
  • Next Sunday, March 8th, Concord Baptist Church is invited to Shady Grove Baptist Church to help celebrate Rev. Lee Byers Pastoral Anniversary. Pastor Bridges will deliver the spoken word and the All male choir will render songs of praise. Dinner will be served at 1pm and service starts at 2pm.
  • The Deaconess Ministry of Mikes Creek Missionary Baptist Church invites everyone out to their program “Christian Women Walking by Faith, Not By Sight” on Sunday, March 15th at 3:00pm. Our own Minister Loretta Holmes will deliver the spoken word.
  • The 5th Sunday in March is Youth Sunday. Please contact Sis. Stephanie Tate or Sis. Annette Smith if you would like to participate on the program.
  • Anyone who may be in need of home & small business mortgage assistance are encouraged to go to http://www.schelp.gov. There are funds available to help you.
